Announcement: Introducing WATTS
Wilson Power Solutions Ltd are pleased to announce the formation of Wilson Agile Transformer Technical Services (WATTS – Rental), a joint venture between Wilson Power Solutions and Agile Power Group FZE based in Dubai. The new company WATTS – Rental will be headquartered in Dubai, UAE where it will operate in excess of 250 MVA of HV transformers and associated switchgear for rental to the global markets.
The company WATTS – Rental will be chaired by Erika Wilson who is the Managing Director of Wilson Power Solutions. Continuing her family’s heritage as the third generation leading Wilson Power Solutions and manufacturing of power and distribution transformers. Wilson Power Solutions are a pioneer provider of the most energy-efficient distribution transformers in the UK. The company is a trusted supplier for many of the UK’s most prominent organisations like universities, hospitals, EV charging stations, renewables, factories, retail, etc.
Erika Wilson said: “As our core business moves from strength to strength, I am delighted to announce this joint venture with Agile Power Group forming WATTS – Rental in Dubai, UAE. The technical and manufacturing capability of Wilson Power Solutions coupled with Agile Power Groups’ international rental experience give us the capability to increase our outreach and further serve our customers”.
James Shepherd will be appointed the CEO of the newly founded WATTS- Rental taking up the role in December 2022 once the company is fully operational. With over 30 years of international power sector experience, James and his team from Agile Power Group will manage and lead the business on a day-to-day basis with the support of Wilson Power Solutions.

WATTS – Rental transformer and switchgear will utilise its specialist fleet in Power Projects, Disaster Recovery, Oil & Gas, Renewables, Mining and Infrastructure. Providing tailored turnkey solutions, technical expertise and operational effectiveness in regions such as Africa, the Middle East, Asia, Europe and South America.
